About the Role

Rincon Research Corporation (RRC) seeks a talented, tenacious, results driven individual to work in a multi-disciplinary R&D environment with likeminded motivated electrical engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists who are collectively responsible for creating custom geolocation and digital communications systems in support of national security defense. The company specializes in innovating, developing, and fielding digital communication products and services for the United States Defense and Intelligence Communities in support of national security. The role involves working across all functional areas including systems engineering, development, integration and test, deployment, and operations & maintenance, with a focus on creating cutting-edge signal processing, geolocation, and communication systems.

Key Responsibilities

Designing real-time cloud processing solutions for signal processing and geolocation applications.
Implementing advanced signal processing and geolocation algorithms with efficient software.
Testing software with real-world data and deploying solutions to front-line customer facilities.
Creating effective user interfaces and data visualization tools.
Providing technical leadership and guidance to junior team members and mentoring other engineers.
Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and methodologies and experimenting with new solutions.
Proposing improvements to applications and frameworks to enhance project outcomes.
Working across all functional areas including systems engineering, development, integration and test, deployment, and operations & maintenance.
Contributing to projects that provide real-world impact and direct mission feedback from customers.
Working independently with minimal supervision and demonstrating self-starting capabilities.

Requirements

Highly proficient in modern software engineering practices for testability and readability.
Highly proficient in C++ and Python for engineering and scientific applications in Linux environments.
Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
Ability to design software system architecture ensuring functionality, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in a software engineering-related discipline.
Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance.
U.S. Citizenship is required.

Nice to Have

DevOps and Cloud computing experience (Gitlab, CI/CD, CVE mitigations, Docker, Kubernetes, PIP).
Experience with Agile development processes and leadership.

Qualifications

Degree (Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD) in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
Minimum 15 years of experience in software engineering-related disciplines.
