About the Role

Rincon Research Corporation (RRC) seeks a talented, tenacious, results driven individual to work in a multi-disciplinary R&D environment with electrical engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists who are collectively responsible for creating custom geolocation and digital communications systems in support of national security defense. The role involves innovating, developing, and fielding digital communication products and services for the United States Defense and Intelligence Communities, focusing on signal processing, geolocation, and communication systems for the future.

Key Responsibilities

Designing real-time cloud processing solutions and implementing advanced signal processing and geolocation algorithms with efficient software.
Testing with real-world data and providing applications to front-line customer facilities.
Creating effective user interfaces and data visualization tools.
Providing technical leadership and guidance to junior team members and mentoring other engineers to grow their technical abilities.
Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and methodologies and experimenting with new technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into RRC projects.
Working across all functional areas: systems engineering, development, integration and test, deployment and operations & maintenance.
Proposing improvements to applications and frameworks based on project needs.
Working independently with minimal supervision and self-starting on assigned tasks.

Requirements

Highly proficient in modern software engineering practices for testability and readability.
Highly proficient in C++ and Python for engineering and scientific applications in Linux environments.
Experience providing technical leadership and guidance to junior team members and mentoring other engineers.
Ability to design the architecture of software systems to ensure functionality, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
Minimum 15 years of experience in a software engineering-related discipline.
Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance.
US Citizenship is required.

Nice to Have

DevOps and Cloud computing experience (Gitlab, CI/CD, CVE mitigations, Docker, Kubernetes, PIP).
Experience with Agile development processes and leadership.

Qualifications

Degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
Minimum 15 years of experience in software engineering-related disciplines.
