About the Role

The Sr Software Engineer (Prisma Access SASE) role at Palo Alto Networks involves designing, developing, and delivering next-generation security technologies within the Prisma Access team. The position focuses on building scalable software features for a cloud-based security platform that extends next-generation security protection to cloud services, remote networks, and mobile users. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop and implement highly scalable software features on the next-generation security platform as part of Prisma Access
Work with different development and quality assurance groups to achieve high-quality software
Suggest and implement improvements to the development process
Work with DevOps and Technical Support teams to troubleshoot customer issues
Interview, mentor and coach new team members

Requirements

6+ years of experience in building large enterprise applications
Excellent programming skills in Golang or Java
Experience in Python is highly desirable
Experience with one or more cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes and their technologies (Lambda functions, SNS/SQS etc.)
Experience with databases SQL, NoSQL is highly desirable
Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams with an emphasis on end-to-end delivery
Experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, peer review, and operations
Strong leadership skills with a can-do attitude
High energy and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Fast learner, independent, and eager to absorb new emerging technologies
M.S./B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent military experience

Nice to Have

Experience in Python
Experience with databases SQL, NoSQL

Compensation between $126,000 and $204,500 per year, depending on qualifications and experience
