We focus on producing world class intelligence, data driven analysis of Earth imagery, and other exciting products. Maxar is looking for a Sr Software Engineer to assist in our Presidion 3D Registration (P3DR) software development in Orlando, FL.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the development of Presidion 3D Registration (P3DR) software.
Contribute to software design, implementation, and testing for Earth imagery processing applications.
Collaborate with team members to develop and optimize complex algorithms related to 3D registration and geospatial data.

Requirements

Must be a US Citizen with the ability to apply for and hold a US Government Secret National Security Clearance.
Basic knowledge of computer hardware architectures.
Solid understanding of operating systems concepts.
Knowledge of complex data structures.
Experience with complicated algorithm development and implementation.
Familiar with memory management and memory layout.
Skilled in process concurrency - processes/threads, synchronization, etc.
Active C++ knowledge, specifically modern C++ (at least C++17).
Familiar with STL.
Solid understanding of linear algebra.
Working knowledge of statistics.

Nice to Have

Fresh 3D graphics programming skills, e.g., visualization and game development, experience with Vulkan.
Recent experience with Python.
Computer Vision and Remote Sensing knowledge.
Understanding of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Familiar with aerial navigation systems.
Usage of Git/GitLab.
Test Automation experience.
Experience with Linux operating system.
Embedded systems experience.
Porting software to different Linux systems.
Working with constraint memory and resources.

Qualifications

Experience with complex algorithm development and implementation.
Experience with modern C++ (C++17).
Experience with STL.
Experience with Linux operating systems.
Experience with embedded systems and porting software to different Linux systems.
