About the Role

As part of Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems business area, the C4ISR line of business creates leading-edge global mission integration capabilities and products for our partners across all domains. Our team provides rapid capability development and operational readiness leveraging industry best-practices and innovative solutions to ensure the program meets operational requirements and matures existing government owned software in an efficient and effective manner. This position involves back-end design and development efforts, including developing architectures, RESTful APIs, database management, and data model optimization, supporting system capabilities and integrations. The role requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Key Responsibilities

Provide subject matter proficiency and analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and requirements definition.
Perform engineering tasks for back-end design and development, including developing back-end architectures, RESTful API development and modification, database management, and data model development and optimization.
Analyze, plan, develop requirements documents, build functional models, develop procedures, and create functional architectures.
Support system testing, verification of system operability, and compliance with project standards and requirements.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering environment to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages with familiarity in DevSecOps, microservices, and containers.
Experience with Python and PostgreSQL.
Experience with AWS Infrastructure.
Experience with relational databases.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment and deliver high-quality solutions.

Nice to Have

10 years of overall experience in the functional area.
5 years of recent and relevant experience in back-end web design and development.
Experience with system testing and documentation.
Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
Experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira).
Experience testing web-based applications.
Leading software development programs or projects.
Practical experience in cloud environments.
Experience with Kubernetes and RedHat Linux.
Experience with DoD software development and integrating data from unclassified to classified deployments.
Experience with Agile Test-Driven development and DoD DevSecOps environments.
Experience with CI/CD software development.
Familiarity with tools like BASH, Spring, Ansible, JUnit, Nexus Repository, Maven.

Qualifications

Security clearance: TS/SCI w/Poly SP.
Demonstrated experience in relational databases, RESTful API development, and system testing.
Experience with DoD software development and integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments.
