Staff Software Development Engineer In Test

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable end-to-end testing frameworks for data stores, data pipelines, services, and web front-end.
• Perform data validation automation, API load testing, system security, and data security testing.
• Use engineering skill sets to solve testing problems with high performance and scalability.
• Participate in engineering architect and discussion meetings to provide testing strategies.
• Research and prototype new tools to inform architectural decisions.
• Assess and understand the flow of code and its interaction with various processes.
• Test automation builds, execute tests, and troubleshoot scripts.
• Architect, design, and lead automation testing infrastructure and strategies to support cloud CI/CD pipelines.
• Evaluate existing automation frameworks and define steps to improve testing procedures.

Requirements

• BS in software engineering, computer science, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development with proficiency in Python and/or Java, JavaScript, SQL.
• 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering.
• Strong experience in non-functional testing such as performance and scalability testing.
• Ability to think logically and diagnose issues effectively.
• Current understanding of system security best practices.
• Expertise in CI/CD pipeline development.
• Solid experience with GIT and source control.
• Passion for solving complex problems and a can-do attitude.
• Strong communication skills.
• Burning desire to learn and continually improve.

Nice to Have

• Experience in data pipeline testing such as ETL tests and data warehouse tests.
• Experience in chaos engineering.
