About the Role

As a Staff Software Engineer for the MR Visualization team at GE HealthCare, you will be responsible for leading multiple software projects as a technical leader, working on highly complex projects that require in-depth domain understanding and specialized architecture. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and test Non real-time Functional Magnetic Resonance Image processing and analysis across the GEHC MR product portfolio with different deployment models.
  • Develop, analyze, and review detailed design and software implementation aligned with the overall product software architecture and technology stack following the Software Development Life Cycle process.
  • Serve as a technical interface in the MR Visualization and Digital application domains to evaluate and integrate third-party solutions into the Non real-time Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging roadmap.
  • Design and deliver reusable software components following platforming design principles.
  • Advocate for product quality and ensure all design artifacts meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Lead research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry, and market trends to support project development and operational activities.
  • Act as the technical expert to groom features, review design, code, test methodology, and tests, and lead cybersecurity and reliability efforts across cross-functional teams.
  • Ideate to bring innovations and drive proof of concepts to build the architectural roadmap.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) with 10+ years of relevant experience in software projects.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship provided).
  • Experience in full stack software design and development using Java.
  • Experience leading complex application development activities in the Healthcare domain.
  • Expertise in choosing design patterns and optimal design solutions and integrating them with legacy or new software modules.
  • Ability to consult with customers on outcomes and deliver technical solutions at an enterprise level.
  • Ability to analyze, design, and develop software solution roadmaps and implementation plans based on current and future business states.
  • Working knowledge of configuration choices and related cost implications, including experience with complex solution configurations.
  • Knowledge of research paper implementation and feasibility analysis for product solutions.
  • Experience maintaining operational stability through various lifecycle phases.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in full stack software design and development (Java).
  • Experience in technically leading complex application development activities in Healthcare domain.
  • Expertise in selecting design patterns and integrating solutions with legacy and new modules.
  • Ability to analyze, design, and develop a software solution roadmap and implementation plan.
  • Knowledge of research papers and implementing feasible options for product solutions.

Qualifications
