About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the development of AI-powered tools that generate fixes for CI failures, runtime errors, performance regressions, and other common issues.
Rapidly prototype and validate solutions to ambiguous and complex engineering problems, and work with other engineers to bring those solutions to production.
Influence the roadmap for the group by advocating for novel product and platform ideas that differentiate Datadog and deliver high value to customers.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver tools that are powerful, fast, and intuitive.
Mentor engineers across teams, offering technical guidance and shaping architectural decisions.

Requirements

A BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience designing and operating complex, high-scale systems.
4+ years in a technical leadership role driving large, cross-team initiatives.
Deep expertise in software delivery pipelines, CI/CD systems, and developer experience.
Relevant experience with Large Language Models, large-scale systems and data sets, machine learning, or adjacent fields.
Experience writing developer tools such as IDEs, static code analysis tools, or compilers.
