About the Role

Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Global team, is engineering, developing and integrating new capability for the Missile Defense System that currently protects the United States and its allies. The team is large but broken down into many smaller agile teams working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Responsibilities include Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing other critical missile defense technologies. The role involves supporting the design, development, test, integration, and fielding of hardware and software elements for missile defense, with opportunities to interface with key customers in the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The position is based onsite at North Colorado Springs and requires collaboration with diverse technical professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Software development using Java on the GBM team.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of software and systems engineers, architects, and project engineers.
  • Support on-site activities at the Federal drive location in North Colorado Springs.
  • Participate in tasks related to Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, and Cyber Security.
  • Assist in developing and reviewing performance issues, identifying root causes, and recommending solutions.

Requirements

  • Must have an active Top Secret security clearance.
  • Java programming experience.
  • Strong problem solving skills, including the ability to review performance issues, identify root cause, and develop solutions.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with command and control system application development.
  • Experience with message translation software.
  • Automated test and pipeline development experience.
  • Experience developing software for Unix/Linux and Windows platforms.
  • Experience with Software Integration testing including developing automated test scripts.
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework/STIG/Fortify mitigation.
  • Experience designing and developing microservices and deploying with containers.
  • Experience setting up a container environment.
