The Strategic Analytics Marketing Manager will use leadership skills to build strong relationships with partners across multiple business units, influence and implement strategies that impact the company, and support promotional strategies for divisional merchandising teams, collaborating closely with senior managers in Pricing Planning & Execution and Promotion Optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in divisional merchandising strategy sessions and implement go-to-market monthly promotional strategy outcomes to deliver customer and business goals by executing against cross-functional operational plans and key milestones.
  • Build category-level bi-weekly promotional plans that deliver on event criteria, themes/claims, or strategically pre-defined category promotional KPIs, as established based on the impact promotion has for that category relative to others.
  • Build category and branded coupon offer pools that support category-level ad plans and drive customer engagement (share of wallet) and deliver unit lift incremental to base regular/promotional unit forecast and plan.
  • Ensure brand-level promo and coupon plans drive unit lift and profitable sales growth in a win-win fashion for Category Managers and vendors while addressing funded promo/coupon plans that may be suboptimizing CVS total and category level promotional KPIs, especially given yellow-tag and store labor constraints.
  • Support Category Managers in aligning vendor promo submissions/ideas with category guardrails and maximizing the unit-driving impact of scan backs and coupon MD funding.
  • Leverage data, insights, and analytics to influence stakeholders and make recommendations as appropriate.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between different departments to promote a cohesive and integrated approach to achieving organizational goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience of developing, implementing and executing retail merchandising and/or marketing programs.
  • 5+ years utilizing tools such as SQL, Snowflake, Teradata, MS Excel, etc.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated successful leadership in a highly competitive multi-unit environment, including sectors like retail, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals.
  • 5+ years' experience understanding and breaking down highly complex situations to deliver impactful solutions in real time.
  • 5+ years' experience collaborating effectively across different business functions, perspectives, and leadership styles.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly, up to 20% of time, based on business needs.

Nice to Have

  • 7+ years' experience of developing, implementing and executing retail merchandising and/or marketing programs.
  • 7+ years of demonstrated successful leadership in a highly competitive multi-unit environment, including sectors like retail, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals.
  • 7+ years' experience actively addressing issues decisively while considering broader organizational dynamics and empowering leaders.
  • 7+ years' experience leading under pressure, adapting to changing dynamics, and finding solutions satisfying multiple stakeholders.
  • 7+ years' experience understanding and breaking down complex situations to deliver impactful solutions in real time.
  • 7+ years' experience demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • 7+ years' experience managing a large organization and a multi-million-dollar business unit to achieve financial and business results.
