About the Role

This internship offers a college student the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data quality and data governance within FNB's Enterprise Data Strategy and Governance program. Interns will be exposed to enterprise data assets such as master data, metadata, and analytical platforms, while receiving training in SQL and data analysis tools. They will actively participate in data quality initiatives and governance projects that span multiple business units across the organization. The internship provides meaningful, challenging, and practical exposure to enterprise-level data practices at an organization recognized as a Top Workplace and Best Place to Work.

Key Responsibilities

Approach each day with curiosity and a willingness to learn.
Participate in project meetings to gain insight into data governance, data privacy and security, data architecture, metadata management, data visualization, and master data practices.
Receive training in tools such as Microsoft SharePoint, Power Bi, and SQL.
Learn how data quality and governance support various lines of business, including Finance, Data Science, Marketing Analytics, and IT teams across Retail and Wholesale Banking.
Take on real-world assignments that contribute to ongoing data quality and governance efforts.
Present work and learnings to the Enterprise Data Strategy and Governance team and IT leadership at the conclusion of the internship.

Requirements

Be officially enrolled in an undergraduate bachelor program with a major in areas such as Finance, Accounting, Marketing or Information Technology.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn and be curious.
Possess basic analytical and communication skills.
Understand the importance of data quality and governance concepts.
Ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions.

Nice to Have

Experience with SQL or data analysis tools.
Knowledge of data governance, data privacy, or metadata management.
Previous internship or coursework related to data or business analytics.

Qualifications

High School or GED required.
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate bachelor program in relevant fields.
