Technical Architect

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborates with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements and conducts analysis to determine integration needs.
• Designs new software and web applications, supports applications under development, and customizes current applications.
• Assists with the software update process for existing applications and roll-outs of software releases.
• Researches, writes, and edits documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal reports.
• Monitors and evaluates competitive applications and products, reviews literature, patents, and current practices relevant to assigned projects.
• Provides technical leadership throughout the design process and offers guidance on practices, procedures, and techniques.
• Serves as a guide and mentor for junior-level Software Development Engineers.
• Works with the Quality Assurance team to ensure applications meet specifications and technical requirements.
• Displays in-depth knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills, and their application.
• Presents and defends architectural, design, and technical choices to internal audiences.
• Displays project management skills and exercises independent judgment and discretion in significant matters.
• Ensures regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.

Requirements

• Experience working with databases and REST APIs.
• Experience working in an Agile team environment.
• Solid JavaScript fundamentals and understanding of the TypeScript type system.
• Proficiency with React, including hooks API and component breakdown.
• Understanding of standard build tools (transpilers, bundlers, minifiers) and their role in modern UI development.
• Strong grasp of source control flows using git.
• Experience with React Router and Axios.
• Solid understanding of web standards (HTML, CSS, HTTP, Browser APIs, REST).
• Experience with Node.js.
• Desired experience with TailwindCSS, Remix (or other full stack web frameworks), and State Machines/Charts with XState.
• Minimum educational qualification of a Bachelor of Computer Science.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Nice to Have

• TailwindCSS experience
• Remix or other full stack web framework experience
• Experience with State Machines and State Charts with XState
