Job Description

About the Role

This is a fall 2025 Test & Validation Engineering Co-op position at Collins Aerospace's Uniontown, Ohio site, focusing on products related to aircraft ice protection, potable water systems, and specialty heated applications. The role offers an opportunity to learn about aerospace design, testing standards, and gain hands-on experience with test fixtures, prototypes, and test equipment in the aerospace industry. The position is onsite and supports the development and validation of aircraft components used across various aviation markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design and fabrication of electrical and/or mechanical test fixtures.
  • Develop test artifacts including test plans, procedures, reports, and manuals.
  • Build and fabricate product prototypes and hardware.
  • Utilize laboratory/test equipment such as universal testers, environmental chambers, vibration tables, ovens, and icing wind tunnels.
  • Work as part of an integrated team and receive technical guidance from engineers and technicians.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and current pursuit of a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Basic understanding and some experience with MATLAB, LabVIEW, and CAD software such as AutoCAD and Inventor.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with MATLAB, LabVIEW, AutoCAD, and Inventor.
  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
