That's why we need you, an experienced test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible. As a software test engineer on our team, you'll use your experience to work with test developers to evaluate software. You'll generate data and implement the test cases to observe how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool. As a Verification and Validation Engineer on our team, you have the chance to shape Air Force missions by supporting software test engineering efforts. Your customer will trust you to not only design and develop these systems but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions. You will analyze system requirements and concept of operations documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to develop evaluation and test plans and procedures, prepare for and conduct the data collection and analysis, and report status and results. You will support the development of government test and evaluation documentation including, Test & Evaluation (T&E) Strategy, Test & Evaluation Master Plan, Event Test Plans, Test Readiness Assessments, and T&E Reports. You'll work with other test organizations to support T&E program integration and provide specialized T&E capabilities tailored to system functions, level, maturity, and performance area as assigned in the SOW. Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate software by generating data, implementing test cases, observing performance, and documenting results.
  • Communicate defects and issues to the development team to facilitate improvements.
  • Analyze system requirements, concept of operations documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to develop evaluation and test plans and procedures.
  • Conduct data collection, analysis, and report on status and results of testing activities.
  • Support the development of government test and evaluation documentation including T&E Strategy, T&E Master Plan, Event Test Plans, Test Readiness Assessments, and T&E Reports.
  • Collaborate with other test organizations to support T&E program integration and provide specialized T&E capabilities.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a test engineer in programs and contracts.
  • Experience with government test and evaluation concepts and engineering, acquisition, and operations activities supporting T&E activities.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

Nice to Have

  • Experience specifying, validating, and adapting Modeling and Simulation for T&E use.
  • Experience applying statistical analysis of performance behavior to characterize confidence in performance estimates.
  • Experience assessing operational and system performance requirements for testability and criticality.
  • Ability to plan program and event level risk-tailored performance estimation and analysis.
  • Ability to review planned acquisition approaches to support T&E schedule alignment.
  • Ability to coordinate with program Systems Engineering and review T&E-related SE information.
  • Ability to assess operational environments and priorities for evaluation and scenario selection.
  • Top Secret clearance.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science.
