Vice President, Senior Ab Initio Lead Developer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with multiple technology teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals.
• Identify and define necessary system enhancements; analyze existing system logic, identify problems, and recommend and implement solutions.
• Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex, high-impact application enhancements and problem resolution through in-depth analysis.
• Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Systems Analysts to determine and document system impacts and support requirements.
• Consider implications of technology application to the current environment, identify risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues, and communicate impact.
• Act as advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts and allocate work accordingly.
• Provide in-depth analysis to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Influence strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel, or services.
• Assess risk when making business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, and escalating control issues.

Requirements

• 10-14 years of relevant experience in applications development or systems analysis.
• Extensive experience in system analysis and programming of software applications.
• 10+ years of ETL Ab Initio experience, including creating generic components, batch and continuous flows, testing frameworks, Express IT, and API integration.
• 8+ years of Oracle PL/SQL experience.
• Experience with CI/CD practices for Ab Initio workflows and integrating Ab Initio jobs into automated pipelines.
• Practical problem solving and strategic thinking skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal skills, and relationship-building abilities.
• Service-oriented attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience leading requirement gathering efforts for multiple large development projects.
• Proficiency with basic technical tools and systems.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience with version control, testing, and deployment tools for automation.
• Knowledge of global finance product control processes, including cash products and traded futures.
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
