Videographer/Assistant Editor

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
• Set up small ENG/EFP shoots with minimal assistance, including lighting, equipment, and decor.
• Design and create sets as needed, incorporating professional lighting and audio standards.
• Collect pre-shoot instructions and oversee all aspects of production and editing.
• Exchange ideas with writers, producers, or directors during production and post-production meetings.
• Tell stories through nonlinear post-production, crafting story arcs from interviews, footage, or scripts.
• Pack gear and supplies for location shoots, ensuring proper packing to prevent damage and adhere to airline weight standards.
• Ensure accountability and proper maintenance of all field gear, including cleaning and scheduling maintenance.
• Plan and secure customs clearances for international shoots, ensuring necessary supplies are available.
• Assist with video edits, lighting, audio, graphic creation, shot location, and equipment investigation.
• Produce video pieces under supervision, working with the Creative Director from conceptualization to finalization.
• Assist producers by shot-sheeting scripts as assigned.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3-5 years of related experience.
• Ability to make quick decisions under tight deadlines during on-location or in-house productions.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, including cross-cultural communication.
• 12 college credit hours of Biblical Studies (or opportunity to complete upon hire).
• Fluency in English.
• Willingness to travel 90-110 days annually, with necessary travel documents and vaccinations.

Nice to Have

• Experience with nonlinear editing software.
• Knowledge of professional lighting and audio standards.
• Experience in set design and production planning.
• Familiarity with international customs procedures for media equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3-5 years of related videography and editing experience.
• College-level Biblical Studies coursework (12 credit hours).
• Fluency in English.
