The Vice President, Product Marketing will play a key role in defining market strategy, positioning, and enabling sales and product teams to succeed in a competitive marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, deliver, and iterate on strategic messaging and value proposition articulations for the platform and products to support sales, product launches, and market communication.
  • Be a strategic partner to Product teams by defining personas, influencing roadmap decisions, and articulating customer needs and market dynamics.
  • Understand and disseminate market insights, customer requirements, usage and buying behavior, and partner ecosystem to identify market opportunities and customer demand.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of current and upcoming product plans in alignment with product leadership.
  • Contribute to pricing and packaging strategy with customer, market, and competitive insights to maximize market fit and revenue.
  • Own the external launch process from design to delivery for platform and product releases.
  • Build, mentor, and inspire a data-driven product marketing team.
  • Define team strategy, goals, budget, and hiring plans to build and measure results.
  • Design and implement metrics to measure impact from pipeline to adoption and retention.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with Product, Field, and Sales Enablement teams to ensure alignment with GTM plans.
  • Partner with Sales Enablement to equip sales teams with messaging, strategies, materials, and market knowledge to increase deal closure and value.
  • Create solutions-oriented content and positioning to address buyer needs and support the buyer's journey.
  • Drive thought leadership through presentations, articles, speaking engagements, and relationship building with industry influencers and key customers.
  • Lead creation and enablement of externally-facing product demos.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to develop solutions supporting GTM plays and delivering value to partners and customers.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of experience in product marketing and related marketing functions in the software industry.
  • 8+ years of progressive management experience, with emphasis on leadership and engaging global and local stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with executive sponsors and practitioners.
  • Experience with enterprise Software-as-a-Service offerings; technical background or understanding of developer products is a plus.
  • Experience supporting integrated GTM motions including Product-led Growth, Sales, Partners, and technology ecosystems.
