About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and patent next-generation wireless connectivity technologies.
• Collaborate across departments to craft wireless solutions that enhance customer experience.
• Develop wireless software and protocol development around IEEE 802.15.4 and Thread Mesh technology, particularly in Home Automation.
• Work as part of a development team to create features for Apple's upcoming products.
• Contribute to building wireless systems that are seamless and highly reliable.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in software development or system engineering.
• Experience with real-time operating systems.
• Proven ability to write software for multi-threaded environments.
• Strong skills in design, programming, and debugging in C, C++, or Objective-C.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with open source software.
• Experience developing frameworks and APIs.
• Knowledge of IoT protocols such as IEEE 802.15.4, Bluetooth, Zigbee, or Thread Mesh.
• Home automation experience (Bluetooth, Zigbee, Z-Wave, Thread Mesh).
• Proven track record of delivering projects from concept to commercialization.

Qualifications

• Experience with software development in C, C++, or Objective-C.
• Experience with real-time operating systems.
• Development experience in multi-threaded environments.
