About the Role

The role involves supporting the Enterprise and Logistics Engineering unit as a Student Marketing and Social Media Assistant, assisting with marketing, website maintenance, and communications to enhance student and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Assists in developing and implementing specific marketing and promotional programs to advance the unit's mission and goals.
Creates media posts, images, and content for social media and the unit website.
Develops and implements social media/marketing calendars related to graduate programs, student engagement activities, and events.
Maintains and updates the unit's website.
Proposes marketing ideas and campaigns to increase student and community awareness of the unit.
Provides data and analytics to measure the success of social media posts.
Assists with unit events and programming under the College.
Supports the design of PowerPoint presentations.
Provides general administrative assistance.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Requires completion of FIU Service Excellence training within the first 30 days.
Experience with website maintenance and social media platforms.
Graphic Design experience with Canva, Photoshop, and/or Illustrator.
Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the team.
Demonstrates professional communication and demeanor when working with team members, students, and FIU leadership.
Comfortable working in a shared space environment.
Be flexible and willing to take on other tasks.
Must be enrolled at FIU with a minimum of six (6) credit hours during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
Must be awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of Financial Aid.

Nice to Have

Experience with graphic design tools such as Canva, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Experience with website maintenance and social media platforms.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

Enrollment at FIU with at least six (6) credit hours during relevant semesters.
Awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of Financial Aid.
