About the Role

The role of the Account Executive involves connecting the company's story and products to customers, finding creative solutions, and working collaboratively with a dynamic sales team to grow key market segments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work and collaborate in a team environment to grow Interface business across all key market segments and product lines.
  • Develop new and grow existing relationships to drive specifications with established assigned key end users and A&D firms and develop business with other high potential end users and A&D firms.
  • Learn the Interface sales process for each of the key market segments and leverage Interface's product offerings and value propositions.
  • Build designer and user advocacy for the entire portfolio of Interface products within the key market segments.
  • Work with regional counterparts and territory teammates to identify and close cross-selling opportunities.
  • Lead and collaborate with teammates on negotiations and identify and remove barriers to closing sales.
  • Identify, develop, and bring project opportunities using influence with A&D firms, end users, and dealer contacts.
  • Leverage sales support resources such as Regional Sales Directors, Key Account Directors, Global Account Directors, and other internal teams.
  • Grow the number of specifications year over year within key market segments.
  • Build and sustain a smart dealer environment within the territory.
  • Manage administrative duties including providing sales reports and forecasts, managing expenses, and leveraging Salesforce CRM.

Requirements

  • Prefer at least three years of sales experience or equivalent industry experience, especially in commercial sales within the construction or interiors space.
  • Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial drive.
  • Desire to work within a team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills, including virtual presenting.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize an independent work schedule.
  • Frequent lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Some travel, primarily within the territory, including in-person client meetings.

Nice to Have

  • Educational background with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred.
