At WZDX-TV Huntsville, a TEGNA-owned FOX affiliate, the company is looking for an Account Executive responsible for achieving sales goals across various marketing solutions, acting as a lead generator and marketing consultant to clients in the Huntsville market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consistently prospect for new revenue opportunities using client and category insights.
  • Upsell current clients by engaging them in the full product line of WZDX-TV Huntsville offerings.
  • Create custom solutions-driven campaigns that meet client needs across multiple media platforms including broadcast, digital, and Streaming (OTT).
  • Seek opportunities to expand relationships with key clients by understanding their business needs and competitive landscape.
  • Establish strong relationships with internal team members by providing the Account Management team with clear and concise direction for the successful execution of campaigns.
  • Partner with your Account Manager to provide exceptional customer service and contract fulfillment.
  • Strategically utilize Matrix and station CRM to manage day-to-day activity, pipeline, and forecasts.
  • Positively and professionally represent the media group to the community at events and surrounding businesses.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of account engagement in a professional, fast-paced media sales environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully achieving or exceeding sales goals and developing new business opportunities as a seller.
  • Established knowledge of marketing solutions including broadcasting and digital advertising including audio and interactive.
  • Prior working experience using Microsoft Office Suite and CRM (Client Relationship Management) systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to proactively communicate with clients, co-workers, and vendors.
  • Possess a creative mind to put together unique campaigns focused on solving client needs.
  • Proven effective problem solver with ability to quickly adapt to changing and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen with attention to detail and accuracy, as well as strong organization and time management skills.
  • Self-motivation and a strong work ethic.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with media sales including broadcast, digital, and OTT platforms.
  • Familiarity with station CRM systems and campaign management tools.
