About the Role

LocaliQ | USA TODAY NETWORK is recruiting for an Account Executive in the digital marketing and advertising industry. The role involves building relationships with local businesses to help them develop their advertising and digital marketing strategies. Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with local businesses to assist with their advertising and digital marketing plans.
  • Develop partnerships with large local businesses and help them reach their goals through integrated marketing plans and media solutions.
  • Identify customer needs to develop and execute account plans and custom client solutions that differentiate USA TODAY NETWORK from competitors.
  • Help businesses maximize their online presence with a tailored approach to digital marketing.
  • Leverage USA TODAY NETWORK resources and partners to develop optimal client solutions across various products, emphasizing digital solutions.
  • Pursue and close new business and revenue streams.
  • Retain, manage, and grow existing clients in the digital landscape.
  • Manage client relationships and build account revenue within a team setting.
  • Identify market potential, develop sales strategies across multiple platforms including digital, mobile, niche publications, and the core newspaper.
  • Articulate and present the suite of products to business decision makers.
  • Communicate proactively with customers via phone, video conference, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Conduct face-to-face customer meetings, presentations, proposals, and demonstrations.
  • Manage a sales pipeline and develop strategies for long-term success.
  • Conduct client check-ins, upsell/cross-sell accounts, and address market share concerns.
  • Utilize CRM (Salesforce) effectively to record all sales activity.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Digital Marketing (Google AdWords, Analytics certifications preferred but not required).
  • 1+ years of experience in high acquisition, consultative B2B sales roles.
  • College degree or acceptable equivalent of education and work experience.
  • A problem solver who thrives on challenges and can simplify complex issues.
  • Possesses a competitive nature and a collaborative team spirit.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and minimum liability insurance as required by law.
