About the Role

TEGNA Inc. helps people thrive in their local communities by providing trusted local news and services through its 64 television stations across the U.S., reaching over 100 million people monthly via web, mobile, streaming, and linear TV. At KMSB-TV Tucson, a TEGNA-owned FOX affiliate, the company is seeking an Account Executive responsible for achieving sales goals across various marketing solutions, acting as a lead generator and marketing consultant to clients in the Tucson market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consistently prospect for new revenue opportunities using client and category insights.
  • Upsell current clients by engaging them in the full product line of KMSB-TV Tucson offerings.
  • Create custom solutions-driven campaigns that meet client needs across multiple media platforms including broadcast, digital, and Streaming (OTT).
  • Seek opportunities to expand relationships with key clients by understanding their business needs and competitive landscape.
  • Establish strong relationships with internal team members by providing clear and concise direction for campaign execution.
  • Partner with your Account Manager to provide exceptional customer service and contract fulfillment.
  • Strategically utilize Matrix and station CRM to manage activity, pipeline, and forecasts.
  • Represent the media group positively and professionally at community events and with surrounding businesses.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of account engagement in a professional, fast-paced media sales environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully achieving or exceeding sales goals and developing new business opportunities.
  • Established knowledge of marketing solutions including broadcasting and digital advertising, audio, and interactive media.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems, with ability to leverage technology for workload management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for proactive client and team interaction.
  • Creative mindset for developing unique campaigns focused on client needs.
  • Effective problem-solving skills with ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen, attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with OTT platforms such as PREMION.
  • Ability to operate news gathering vehicle and hold a current driver's license.

Qualifications

  • Current driver's license and ability to operate news gathering vehicle
  • Experience in media sales or related field
