Account Manager, Non-Fleet

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manages the overall team operations, client coordination, and customer service delivery.
• Coordinates, coaches, and provides prioritization assistance with Account Associates, as well as reviewing and managing the overall workload.
• Leverages knowledge and expertise in client services, insurance processing and customer experience to develop, coach, and assist Account Associates and other team members.
• Assists Producers and Account Executives with client service commitments.
• Ensures service standards are met, trends are identified, and process improvements are implemented on the team.
• Functions as the day-to-day customer contact, troubleshooting issues and helping clients make well-informed decisions.
• Manages the new business and renewal process, as well as oversees day-to-day client changes.
• Ensures client service delivery through high and/or increased client retention, rounding of accounts, referrals, and uneventful renewals.
• Ensures pre-renewal information is sent out within service standards and follows up with clients and insurance markets for timely responses.
• Manages renewal marketing plans with Producers and Service Teams and ensures execution.
• Creates accurate proposals/deliverables for client renewal meetings.
• Reviews quotes for accuracy, negotiates coverage/price with underwriters, and completes renewal bind processes efficiently.
• Ensures all aspects of the renewal are documented within the file to minimize E&O exposure and facilitate quick responses to client requests.

Requirements

• Current Insurance License in Property & Casualty and/or Health & Life for the state in which the agency office is located.
• Ability to work toward professional designation.
• Comfortable in an electronic environment with strong computer skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Excellent people skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• High school diploma (college preferred) or equivalent relevant experience.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience within the insurance industry or business-related experience.
• Position entails long periods of remaining stationary, either seated or standing.
• Must have access to reliable transportation; some travel may be required.
• Frequent and extended screen exposure and a large amount of typing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (college preferred)
• Bachelor's Degree in a Business or related field or equivalent relevant experience
