About the Role

As an Advertising and Promotions Coordinator at Terre Haute Casino Resort, you will be responsible for executing on and off property promotions and events as directed by marketing leadership. You will also manage the social media strategy, work with the marketing agency on signage and advertising needs, and support guest services related to marketing activities. The role involves engaging with guests, promoting amenities, and ensuring promotional guidelines are followed in a fast-paced casino environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete logs and other paperwork as required.
  • Update and maintain the website content.
  • Provide information about events and activities to guests.
  • Actively market all amenities on property to guests.
  • Execute promotions and events in accordance with promotional rules and guidelines.
  • Perform casino announcements in a clear, concise, upbeat manner.
  • Develop and ensure the execution of social media strategy in collaboration with marketing agency and leadership.
  • Coordinate with all departments to meet on property signage needs.
  • Work with marketing agency to complete advertising needs requiring property involvement.
  • Assist casino hosts in servicing guests through issuing comps, player cards, and general account servicing.
  • May issue complimentary items in accordance with the approved comp matrix.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior customer service experience.
  • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
  • Good interpersonal skills and organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Frequent walking, standing, using hands, reaching, talking, and hearing.
  • Occasional climbing stairs and sitting.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to work in moderate noise levels and exposure to smoke and weather conditions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with social media management.
  • Knowledge of promotional rules and guidelines.
  • Experience working in a casino or hospitality environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior customer service experience
