Job Description

About the Role

The Local Sales Manager at Comcast Advertising is responsible for managing local advertising operations, leading a team of Local Sales Account Executives, and developing strategic sales and marketing initiatives that align with company and client goals. The role involves building relationships with networks, creating proposals, and supporting the growth of regional advertising efforts within the company's media and ad tech divisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages and coaches a team of Local Account Executives to carry out marketing functions and sales initiatives; champions early adoption of new strategies, tools, and processes.
  • Oversees the hiring, training, evaluating, and assisting of staff to ensure effective marketing functions.
  • Develops relationships with networks to expand online media and network promotions on the regional level.
  • Writes presentations and proposals that meet clients' needs and budget requirements.
  • Works with sales management in developing business pitches and sales presentations that support the product value proposition.
  • Provides monthly and quarterly marketing reports.
  • Exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Maintains regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, including working nights and weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary.
  • Supports understanding of operating principles and promotes a customer-first approach.
  • Contributes to driving results and growth, and promotes inclusion and diversity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent combination of coursework and experience).
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
  • Skills in coaching, communication, and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to manage and develop a team of sales professionals.
  • Experience in developing sales pitches, proposals, and marketing reports.
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with digital tools and advertising technology.
  • Previous leadership experience in media sales or advertising.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or extensive related professional experience.
  • Relevant work experience of 5-7 years.
