AI ML Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Interface with key stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Participate in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including requirements elicitation, architecture definition, and design.
• Create high-level design artifacts for AI/ML solutions.
• Deliver high-quality code for assigned modules.
• Lead validation activities for various testing phases.
• Support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty of AI/ML solutions.

Requirements

• Candidate must be located within Austin, TX or be willing to travel to these locations, with possible travel within the US.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of education.
• At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience in AI/ML and knowledge of the full SDLC lifecycle.
• Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies.

Nice to Have

• At least 2 years of experience in AI/ML development, with expertise in Generative AI and AI agents.
• Strong experience in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and Hugging Face Transformers.
• Experience with LLMs (GPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.), vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Understanding of NLP, deep learning, and model fine-tuning techniques.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, reinforcement learning, and AI safety principles.
• Experience with Unix/Linux usage.
• Experience in project lifecycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
• Ability to work in diverse, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Analytical and strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience with self-learning AI agents, autonomous workflows, or multi-agent systems.
• Background in graph-based AI, symbolic reasoning, or cognitive architectures.
• Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or research publications.
