About the Role

The AI/ML Developer role is based in NYC and involves developing and implementing machine learning models for various banking and financial applications. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders, deployment of models into production, and staying updated with emerging AI/ML trends in the financial industry. It is a 1+ year contract with compensation ranging from $90.00 to $100.00 per hour, and candidates must hold or be authorized to work in the US.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement machine learning models for customer analytics, profitability assessment, and balance sheet optimization.
Work with structured and unstructured data, leveraging techniques such as NLP, deep learning, and time-series analysis.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate banking problems into machine learning solutions.
Deploy models into production using MLOps best practices.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and model governance frameworks.
Conduct model validation, performance tuning, and explainability analysis.
Stay updated with emerging AI/ML trends in the financial industry.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in machine learning, data science, or AI, preferably in the banking or financial sector.
Strong programming skills in Python, R, or Scala with expertise in ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.
Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and SQL/NoSQL databases.
Knowledge of risk modeling, capital models, and regulatory compliance in banking.
Hands-on experience with MLOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow).
Strong understanding of statistical modeling, optimization, and feature engineering.
Ability to communicate complex ML concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field preferred.

Nice to Have

Experience in automated trading, portfolio optimization, or AI-driven customer engagement.
Familiarity with LLMs and GenAI applications in banking.
Certifications in AWS/Azure AI/ML services.
