About the Role

As a Developer Community Platform Manager at AMD, you will be responsible for outreach and engagement with developers on AMD discussion forums and platforms. Your goal is to empower the growth of influential developers within technical communities, facilitate advocacy and knowledge sharing, and act as a bridge between the global developer community and internal teams. The role involves managing community interactions, promoting AMD, and supporting internal content strategies, all within AMD's innovative and inclusive culture focused on transforming lives through technology.

Key Responsibilities

Community outreach and influence on AMD discussion platforms, including empowering key developers and identifying community leaders and advocates to evangelize the AMD brand
Executing real-time community feedback loops and ensuring timely responses to community queries
Liaising with business units' SMEs to deliver data-driven content and responses to the community
Promoting key community members to provide peer-to-peer support and guidance
Supporting internal AMD teams with strategy and guidance on content creation
Contributing to internal knowledge base to enable community teams to engage effectively
Developing onboarding programs and processes for new community members
Supporting community outreach activities such as AMD Dev Events and meetups
Developing external awareness through social platforms and organic search
Assessing community health, understanding needs and concerns, and communicating insights to internal teams
Creating dashboards, reports, and analysis to gauge community performance and recommend improvements

Requirements

Good understanding of community platforms like Discourse and Discord, and community management best practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in community management or developer communities (e.g., Reddit, Github, open-source communities) is a plus
Familiarity with developer tools, languages, frameworks, and discussion forums
Strong understanding of AI, software, and/or hardware development processes and technologies
Knowledge of SEO and content marketing strategies
Ability to create engaging and informative content for developers
Experience with event planning and execution is a plus
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
Flexibility and agility to deal with ambiguity
A relevant degree such as Bachelor's or College Degree in Computer Science or related fields
