About the Role
The Social Media Specialist helps create and share visual content to enhance the organization's presence across various platforms. This role involves photography, videography, and digital media to produce engaging visual assets for our audience. The Social Media Specialist will work closely with the Director of Digital Experience in a part-time AmeriCorps program focused on community outreach and youth programming in Chicago, IL.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with youth implementing high-quality programming in areas such as Arts, Education, Health/Wellness, Career Development, Character/Leadership, and Sports/Recreation.
- Create and share visual content including photography and videography to support the organization's digital presence.
- Produce engaging visual assets for various social media platforms.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience with children.
- Content creation skills, including social media content creation.
- Ability to work part-time and commit to the program dates from 09/15/2025 to 08/31/2026.
- Minimum age of 18.
