The role involves working within the AIM (Analytics, Investment & Marketing Enablement) team, which is the analytical engine that enables the Global Commercial business portfolio of American Express. The team focuses on driving profitable business growth through innovative analytical solutions, leveraging machine learning and advanced methodologies, particularly in driving Sentinel Analytics for Lifestyle gaming across channels and products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive innovative analytical solutions and strategies that help in gaming prevention and improve offer efficiency for the commercial business.
  • Design and create world-class marketing analytics by leveraging machine learning and advanced methodologies.
  • Quantitatively determine the value of insights and ensure they are leveraged to create a positive impact on the business.
  • Support the development of actionable insights to drive business strategy and growth within the GCS Marketing organization.
  • Collaborate with partners and team members to define key business objectives and align on analytical solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Economics.
  • Understanding of experimental test vs control and ability to read statistical reports.
  • Strong analytical skills to diagnose business needs, establish hypotheses, and drive insights and recommendations.
  • Good people management skills and ability to collaborate effectively with partners and team members.
  • Knowledge of Hive, Python, PySpark, SQL for data manipulation and statistical modeling/data-mining techniques.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Economics.
  • Experience in analytics with a quantitative background.
  • Work experience in relevant industry and domain.
  • Strong knowledge of statistics.
