The Analytics Engineer will be part of a building Data & Analytics team that bridges engineering and business insight, partnering with analysts and data scientists to design robust, reusable data models and deliver actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain analytics-ready datasets using SQL, dbt, and Python
- Design semantic data layers to support reporting, dashboarding, and self-service tools
- Develop clear, compelling data stories and visualizations to support business decisions
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into data products
- Apply software engineering best practices to analytics development (testing, Git, documentation)
- Ensure data quality and consistency across business domains
- Collaborate with engineering and business teams to improve data accessibility
- Participate in agile sprints and contribute to team planning and retrospectives
- Monitor performance of analytics solutions and drive iterative improvements
- Support a culture of data literacy and evidence-based decision-making
Requirements
- 3+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or business analytics
- Strong SQL and Python skills with experience in data transformation tools
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into data models and insights
- Experience with dashboarding, visualization, or self-service analytics tools
- Understanding of software development practices for analytics work
- Bachelor's degree in a data-related, technical, or business field
Nice to Have
- Experience with data modeling and semantic layer design
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies
- Familiarity with data quality and data governance practices
