Annual Giving & Alumni Relations Social Media & Events Specialist (FWS/NFWS)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Graphic design and creative vision for Alumni & GCU Seniors social media
• Assist with executing alumni and fundraising campaigns and events
• Respond to alumni requests via phone and email
• Assist in philanthropically engaging students, staff, faculty, friends of GCU, and alumni
• Provide administrative support and perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Proficiency in Canva and Hootsuite
• Ability to manage social media content from start to finish, including selecting photos, writing engaging captions, and scheduling posts across platforms
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
• Outstanding ability to manage time and handle multiple tasks and priorities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Desire to provide phenomenal customer service experiences
• Superior email and telephone skills
• Ability to work both on-campus and off-site events
• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's or Master's program
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student
• Maintain good financial and academic standing with the University

Nice to Have

• Experience in content writing and visual communication design
• Experience with graphic design and content scheduling

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree enrollment at GCU
• Administrative experience preferred
