About the Role

Anthropologie seeks a digital marketing professional to lead search marketing activation strategy for Anthropologie Group brands. This role is highly cross-functional, requiring teamwork, innovation, analysis, and strategic thinking. The candidate will connect business goals with customer insights and product offerings to drive growth, collaborating closely with agency teams, creative leads, merchants, and ad tech stakeholders. The position involves leading a team, developing strategic plans, and executing search marketing initiatives in a hybrid work environment requiring in-office presence three days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing expert recommendations on paid and organic search strategy including investment decisions, technology innovation, and channel strategy.
  • Synthesize complex performance data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership, highlighting channel impact on business performance.
  • Monitor channel and agency performance against KPIs such as ROAS, CPA, and CTR, and hold regular check-ins to review optimizations and results.
  • Continuously identify and implement innovative paid search tactics, leveraging emerging platform features and industry best practices.
  • Translate high-level business priorities into actionable search initiatives, ensuring alignment across brand and divisional strategies.
  • Build projections and investment recommendations for budget allocation and monthly spend pacing, adjusting plans as needed.
  • Lead agency and internal teams to ensure flawless execution of paid search campaigns, making data-driven decisions to optimize performance.
  • Evaluate and challenge agency and platform recommendations, providing strategic input and ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  • Review and approve media plans, keyword strategies, and ad copy, ensuring brand guidelines and performance goals are met.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting by validating implementation of conversion tracking, pixels, and analytics integrations.
  • Manage a paid search specialist and organic social team, fostering career development and skills growth.
  • Collaborate with creative, merchandising, and analytics teams to integrate paid search initiatives into broader marketing campaigns.
  • Lead and expand shopping campaign strategies to drive profitable demand.
  • Work with Ad Tech partners to develop and implement automation and optimization solutions to improve efficiencies.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in search marketing, both paid and organic, with emphasis on paid search.
  • Expertise in paid search platforms and tools, including PMAX/Shopping Campaign Optimization.
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies within budget and timelines.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving complex issues, and recommending strategies to resolve problems.
  • Experience analyzing channel results and aligning insights with business goals.
  • High project management skills, with medium to high familiarity with web analytics.
  • Passion for search and staying updated on advertising formats, Search AI landscape, and related technologies.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and provide clear, straightforward recommendations.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented attitude with a growth mindset and positive problem-solving approach.
