About the Role

The Application Developer - Cloud and AI Solutions role is with a fast-growing pharmaceutical distribution and 3PL provider, focusing on designing, building, and scaling web-based applications, AI-driven tools, and backend data systems that improve healthcare logistics. The position involves working on innovative cloud and AI projects that impact internal operations and external customers, with a focus on AWS, Python, SQL, and AI/ML techniques. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Clay, NY, offering an opportunity to lead strategic technical initiatives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Leading the development of internal software tools and customer-facing portals hosted in AWS.
Designing and implementing cloud-first solutions using Python, SQL, and API integrations.
Applying AI and data mining techniques to real-world problems to streamline processes, automate decisions, and enhance visibility across the supply chain.
Collaborating with stakeholders in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture where IT is a strategic driver.
Working side-by-side with technical leadership and executive decision-makers to bring complex ideas to life.
Participating in key initiatives including ERP integration, cloud scaling, and the construction of a new data warehouse.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Python development.
Practical working knowledge of AWS, especially EC2 and infrastructure management.
Solid SQL skills, including data modeling, scripting, and performance tuning.
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or tools, even if not production-level expertise.
A builder's mindset with the ability to work independently, problem-solve, and lead technical challenges.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical teams and customers.

Nice to Have

Experience integrating cloud applications via REST APIs.
Experience deploying machine learning models or data-driven applications.
Familiarity with tools like Docker, Power BI, or front-end frameworks.
Knowledge of ERP systems or healthcare distribution workflows.
