Arch Spec Associate Project Manager Job

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manages larger projects and top accounts, coordinating with internal teams to find solutions for unique products or installations.
• Receives, processes, and manages multiple incoming orders with unique requirements and timelines.
• Controls project flow from project start through shipping phase by providing administrative direction for customers and internal departments to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
• Analyzes initial project requirements and updates internal databases as project status changes.
• Maintains and archives communication for each project using NetSuite and Outlook, and sends maintenance and warranty packets.
• Participates in higher level process improvements and internal projects, and communicates directly with designers and engineers after project handoff.
• Works with Architectural Specialties Project Managers to establish large project timelines and phasing, and attends weekly meetings to review time-sensitive projects.
• Provides problem resolution and reports issues, implications, and potential courses of action.
• Communicates with customers regarding order status, ship dates, delays, and tracking information.
• Supports assigned representatives and participates in showroom tours and events as needed.
• Leads project intake meetings, communicates next steps and timelines with clients, and provides subject matter expertise on product designs.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in business, communication, or related field.
• 2+ years of work experience in sales, customer service, or sales process improvement.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Active listening skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
• Ability to adapt plans quickly and work well in challenging environments.
• Comfort with learning new concepts rapidly and in technical, consultative-sales settings.
• Ability to diffuse difficult customer situations and manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn industry-specific skills related to Architecture + Design.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Adobe Suite, and NetSuite.

Nice to Have

• Minimum 2+ years of work experience in sales support or inside sales preferred.
• Experience in the Architecture + Design field is a plus.
• Experience working in cloud-based CRM systems preferred.

Qualifications

• Educational background with a BA/BS degree in business, communication, or related field.
• Relevant work experience of at least 2 years in sales, customer service, or related roles.
