About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and construction activities including proposal and conceptual design graphics.
• Coordinate the creation of drawings and specifications with other disciplines for detailed design.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, etc., during construction phase services.
• Ensure building types such as Administrative, Laboratory, Chemical Storage, Pump Stations, Power Generation, Substations, Data Centers, Food Processing/Storage, and other industrial structures meet project requirements.
• Conduct code reviews for building code compliance.
• Apply sustainable strategies in design and LEED projects.
• Be responsible for architectural building design and detailing under the direction of a licensed architect.
• Be mentored in applying building codes and design standards to specific building types.
• Learn and develop skills in specification writing if not already experienced.
• Potentially lead architectural efforts on projects once experienced.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in architecture from an NAAB or recognized accredited program.
• Typically a minimum of 3 years related work experience.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements such as background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of varied construction materials and shop drawing review experience.
• Understanding of the International Building Code and International Fire Code.
• Sketching ability and detailing skills.
• Field experience in construction or related areas.
