Architect/Sr. Data Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the solution architecture design across all tiers of the Microsoft Fabric medallion architecture (Raw, Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Design and implement scalable frameworks for data ingestion, curation, and business rule enforcement.
• Define and enforce naming conventions, schema designs, and data modeling best practices across workspaces and Fabric items.
• Architect robust ETL pipelines with a focus on performance, security, and maintainability.
• Integrate diverse data sources including PMS files, Salesforce, and Azure SQL into the platform.
• Configure incremental refresh, attribute mapping, and upsert logic using notebooks.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to support Power BI reporting and AI-readiness initiatives.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data architecture or enterprise data engineering roles.
• Proven expertise in cloud-native data platforms, with Microsoft Fabric experience strongly preferred.
• Deep understanding of data lake house concepts, medallion architecture, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Proficiency with Power BI, SQL, Spark/Notebooks, and Azure data services.
• Strong documentation and solution design skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with PMS systems and file-based ingestion.
• Familiarity with Salesforce data integration.
