Senior Data Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Support both internal and external technology initiatives while guiding testing and training efforts.
• Play a key role in data transformation projects, particularly during mergers and acquisitions.
• Design and maintain robust data architectures and models.
• Work closely with the analytics team to analyze complex datasets and develop impactful visualizations.
• Manage ETL processes, integrate APIs, and work with data models across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Ensure data integrity and seamless data flow throughout the organization.
• Implement data validation, monitoring, and quality assurance processes.
• Design scalable and efficient data architectures.
• Build and maintain data lakes and data warehouses.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in data engineering, with a focus on M&A data transformation and building and maintaining data pipelines (ETL).
• Experience with information technology systems design, structured programming concepts, and object-oriented design principles.
• Proficiency with relational database design and management including SQL.
• Experience with data warehousing platforms like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, OneLake, or Azure Synapse.
• Experience with APIs & Integration working with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party data sources.
• Experience designing and implementing unified data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including orchestration of data pipelines and integration across services.
• Experience with Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with ERP systems Deltek Vision or Deltek Vantagepoint.
• Experience in the A&E industry.
• Knowledge of additional data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, Power BI.
• Experience with Data Warehousing platforms like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, OneLake, or Azure Synapse.
• Experience with enterprise platform as a service (iPaaS) such as Workato.
• Experience with M&A data integration, legacy system migrations, or enterprise-scale data transformations.
• Knowledge of financial and accounting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or related field.

Benefits & Perks

• Salary range of $85,000 - $100,000, based on qualifications and experience.
