About the Role

Okta Inc seeks a Data Engineer in Bellevue, Washington. The role involves designing and developing methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse 'big data' sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement. The Data Engineer will interact with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments, develop and code software programs, algorithms, and automated processes to cleanse, integrate, and evaluate large datasets from multiple sources. The position may be telecommute.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse 'big data' sources.
Interact with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments.
Develop and code software programs, algorithms, and automated processes to cleanse, integrate, and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources.
Identify meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources.
Interpret and communicate insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a Data or Systems Engineer or Analyst-related occupation.

Qualifications

Experience with big data analysis and systems development.
Ability to develop algorithms and automated data processing solutions.
