About the Role

The Area Manager - Full Commissioned Sales is responsible for developing independent account business, emphasizing overall profitability through new sales and account penetration. The role involves promoting and selling company branded products, supporting customer service activities, and increasing market visibility within the food distribution industry. The position supports the company's growth in the Naples, Florida area, working within a team environment to serve restaurants, hotels, and other foodservice clients, with a focus on quality, consistency, and value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generates additional business by analyzing sales territory and individual customers, sampling products, planning sales strategies, and conducting effective sales presentations.
  • Grows sales and profit margins to meet established sales and margin goals.
  • Sets up new customer accounts by determining pricing, working with Credit Department for authorization, and coordinating order-taking and deliveries.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction by providing exemplary service and working closely with other center personnel to resolve issues.
  • Builds additional business with current customers through product penetration to maximize profitability.
  • Minimizes accounts receivable problems by monitoring compliance with credit terms and following up on issues.
  • Maintains awareness of pricing trends within the sales territory, especially on market-driven and commodity products.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • 5 years of extensive seafood knowledge
  • 3-5 years outside sales experience
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Strong desire to build new business and a strong work ethic
  • Attention to detail and excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must pass a post-offer background and drug test

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
