About the Role

The Area Manager for the Northeast region at CSL Behring is responsible for promoting and utilizing CSL Behring products, managing all aspects of territory business development, and cultivating relationships with key customers including healthcare professionals, hospital decision makers, specialty pharmacies, and distribution partners. The role involves creating demand for promoted products, demonstrating clinical knowledge, supporting patient education programs, and developing new and existing accounts to drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote products and increase usage among call points such as HCPs, hospitals, hemophilia treatment centers, patient support groups, distributors, and specialty pharmacies.
  • Develop new accounts and grow existing accounts through customer relationships, technical product and disease state communication, and territory management.
  • Develop and implement territory business plans aligned with corporate goals to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Implement key marketing programs to increase market share of promoted products.
  • Maintain appropriate call frequency with targets and update as needed to align with current product focus.
  • Stay informed on current clinical literature from medical journals and other sources.
  • Implement CSL selling model (PS2) with effective opening, probing, listening, and closing skills during customer calls.
  • Work with patient support groups as appropriate, following CSL Behring SOPs.
  • Communicate marketplace issues and opportunities to management.
  • Represent CSL Behring at local customer meetings to increase product and service exposure.
  • Travel regularly, including weekends, for customer or corporate meetings and events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or business field.
  • Minimum of five years' pharmaceutical sales or relevant experience.
  • Proven success in field sales and market share growth.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical market and regulations.
  • Strong business acumen and clinical knowledge.
  • Effective communication and customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute territory business plans.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with hemophilia or specialty pharmaceutical products.
  • Knowledge of medical and disease state literature.
  • Experience working with patient support groups.

  • Educational background in science or business.
