Assistant Product Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with data entry on seasonal plans, runs and analyzes sales reports for the Product Manager.
• Seek awareness of market trends and knowledge of competitive landscapes while assisting in product analysis.
• Maintain Buy Plan with correct product information, pricing, and product status, and utilize it to build product assortments.
• Maintain correct sample inventory, including checking in/out samples for photoshoots.
• Prepare and audit product loads for Road Runner Sports Website and 3rd party websites while ensuring uniform manifold approximation and projection compliance.
• Work alongside the Product Manager to monitor product presentations on the web and in retail stores and develop strategic and tactical adjustments as needed.
• Assist in developing and maintaining vendor partnerships and managing return authorizations and return to vendor processes in stores and distribution centers.
• Collaborate with the Product Manager on the look and feel of all creative supporting the product.
• Coordinate with Marketing and Visual Merchandising teams to drive key item campaigns and new product launches.
• Assist in managing co-op marketing programs and identifying opportunities in managing internal/external customers.
• Develop knowledge and proficiency in cross-channel merchandising.
• Assist in executing the markdown process and data entry of systems.
• Manage retail communication from the department to the retail teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Excel to produce and analyze reports for product assortment and business strategies.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Word and Outlook.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with other departments.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and problem solve creatively.
• Ability to present information clearly and compellingly.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 35% of the time.

Nice to Have

• Experience with data analysis and report generation.
• Knowledge of cross-channel merchandising.
