About the Role

Based in Redmond, Washington, the company partners closely with Nintendo Co., Ltd. to bring entertainment initiatives including video games, hardware, films, and theme parks. The Associate Business Administration Specialist (Bilingual Japanese) supports the Publisher & Developer Relations department by handling inquiries, managing accounts, and facilitating communication between Nintendo of America and Nintendo Co., Ltd. in Japan, with a focus on publisher account management, payments, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and help improve multiple third-party business tools and systems for Publisher Account Management (e.g., NDP, SST, DRT).
  • Manage the onboarding process for new publishers and ensure accounts are in good standing.
  • Track status and support communication between publishers and Nintendo (including NCL) for various agreements and contracts such as Digital/Package Publisher License, Distribution, and Amendments.
  • Work with internal departments including NCL to set up, maintain, and manage payee accounts for monthly global payments.
  • Handle monthly regional payment processes for Distribution & Royalty payments, including sending statements and preparing invoices or check requests.
  • Respond to inquiries received via email and internal platforms like Jira/Confluence.
  • Attend weekly/bi-weekly meetings with NCL, IT, and Legal teams.
  • Analyze and resolve publisher account issues.
  • Support continuous process improvement for system and process optimization to increase productivity.
  • Coordinate operational tasks such as IP transfer and content removal with publishers and internal teams.
  • Translate and interpret written and verbal communication among NCL, NOA, and publishers.
  • Ensure compliance with Nintendo of America policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two or more years of related experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration related field, or equivalent.
  • Excellent bilingual skills in English and Japanese (verbal and written).
  • Level 1 JLPT or equivalent proficiency.
  • Familiarity with tax, accounts payable, agreement/contract, and e-commerce concepts.
  • Some direct business experience with related terminologies.
  • Program and account management experience preferred.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
  • This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA, and not open to remote work.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Level 1 JLPT or equivalent proficiency in Japanese.
