About the Role

The role involves helping to build an emerging warehouse management system that supports warehouse operations across multiple countries, with a focus on developing features for end users in hundreds of warehouses globally. The position is based in the greater Seattle, WA area and involves working on-site with a small, agile team dedicated to transportation warehouse management system development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop features and functionality for the warehouse management system used across global transportation warehouses.
  • Collaborate with team members during development, backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives within a two-week sprint cycle.
  • Work closely with end users worldwide to identify their needs and implement solutions accordingly.
  • Participate in daily scrum meetings and contribute to team collaboration outside of these meetings.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study, or equivalent experience.
  • Solid Java coding abilities.
  • Experience with web development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with object-oriented analysis and design.
  • Understanding of relational database concepts and SQL.
  • Customer service-oriented attitude and great time-management skills.

Nice to Have

  • Angular, Bootstrap 5.
  • Spring Boot.
  • Experience with web-based and service-based architectures and deployment paradigms.
  • Experience with IntelliJ, Maven, GitLab, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Moderate experience with RHEL8/9/CentOS, bash, Linux LVM, sed, awk, etc.
  • Experience with Event Driven Architecture, Domain Driven Design, CQRS.
  • Kafka clients and Avro.

Qualifications

  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor or transfer work authorization.
