About the Role

The Associate Director of SEO at Verizon is a key member of the Verizon Consumer SEO team, responsible for strategic planning, business integration, and partner management. The role involves leveraging digital media to engage and inform customers, building relationships across the organization, and scaling the SEO function. The position requires a sophisticated understanding of search and organic landscapes, with a focus on driving business growth in an evolving AI landscape. The role emphasizes teamwork, leadership, and innovation within a dynamic marketing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with strategic planning, business integration, and partner management within the Verizon Consumer SEO team.
Build relationships with internal and external teams and partners to support SEO initiatives.
Translate market and business needs into effective digital media and SEO strategies.
Drive the business forward by providing recommendations and strategic advancements in an AI landscape.
Develop and maintain relationships across Verizon, serving as a point of contact for SEO campaign inquiries.
Partner with industry leaders to develop Verizon's internal media-related solutions.
Lead a team of specialists to execute data, supply, and technology operations across digital media teams.
Develop new ways of working to improve business results and team satisfaction.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Eight or more years of relevant experience demonstrated through work, military service, or specialized training.
Experience in SEO marketing, agency, or consultative services.
Experience in search analysis and reporting.
Knowledge of web design principles, UX/CX best practices.
Experience with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Botify, Screaming Frog, etc.
Ability to monitor data quality within marketing technology products.
Experience driving responses to shifts in search behavior including SGE, AI, voice, and social media.
Experience working with technical teams including technology, front-end development, infrastructure, or DNS.
Ability to manage large projects across multiple stakeholders.

Nice to Have

Experience in Adobe, AEM, @contextHub.
Experience using primary buying platforms & formats such as SA360, GA4, Skai, Google/Bing, PLAs, Shopping engines.
Experience with advertising channels across TV, audio, OOH, Display, Digital Video, Social Media, and various buying methodologies (CPM, CPC, CPA).
Proven track record of leading a technically advanced team of media professionals.
Data visualization experience.
Ability to operate and influence across divisions, departments, and teams.

Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
