Associate Director, Search Engine Optimization

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy generation and execution across multiple clients.
• Project manage and collaborate with technical teams to develop strategies for technical SEO implementation.
• Work in conjunction with predefined SEO campaign objectives.
• Perform client work in coordination with other media teams.
• Work with multiple levels of agency teams to optimize the organic search experience.
• Manage and support the success of clients' organic search programs.

• Ability to conduct relevant keyword research and make recommendations.
• Experience in interpreting analytical data and identifying actionable opportunities.
• Strong project management skills with delegation experience to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
• Supporter of and advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• 6+ years' work experience in SEO, supporting enterprise clients.
• Expert knowledge of all aspects of SEO and understanding of digital media disciplines.
• Proficiency with Google Analytics and Microsoft Office Applications.
• Understanding of key search engine ranking factors.
• Familiarity with industry tools such as Screaming Frog, MOZ, SEMRush, Brightedge, Conductor.
• Ability to conduct detailed on-site optimization.
• Knowledge of local search, local rankings, and local SEO.
• Experience with local listings management (LLM).

Nice to Have

• A thorough understanding of and ability to conduct detailed on-site optimization.
• Ability to interpret analytics data and identify actionable opportunities.
• Proven ability to autonomously manage ongoing SEO campaigns.
• Knowledge of the inner workings of local search and local rankings.
• Experience with local listings management (LLM) and local SEO.
• A solid understanding of CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization / A/B Testing).
• Working knowledge of HTML, PHP, Javascript, and/or CSS.
• Google Analytics Certification.
• Brightedge Certification.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' work experience in SEO supporting enterprise clients.
• Google Analytics Certification (helpful).
• Brightedge Certification (a big plus).
