The role of Associate Director, Patient Marketing - Digital, involves developing and implementing digital and performance marketing strategies to engage patients and support brand objectives for Insmed's rare disease respiratory product, with a focus on digital channels and patient insights. This position is based in Bridgewater, NJ, and is a hybrid role with no direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the development and implementation of digital and performance marketing initiatives such as Paid Social & Display, Search Engine Marketing, Point of Care, website and video development.
  • Synthesize actionable insights from qualitative and quantitative data to refine marketing strategies, optimize campaign performance, enhance patient experience, and increase return on investment.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive multi-channel marketing strategies to effectively engage patients throughout their journey.
  • Collaborate across functions including franchise marketing teams, healthcare provider and payer marketing, product communications, patient services, IT, sales, and regulatory teams, influencing without direct authority.
  • Stay informed on the latest developments and emerging technologies in digital and performance marketing, and serve on cross-functional teams focused on advancing organizational capabilities such as AI.
  • Establish goals and critical metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, focusing on continuous learning and data-driven optimization.
  • Engage agency partners, manage scopes of work, and oversee the development and execution of initiatives, fostering collaborative relationships.
  • Contribute to Patient Marketing budget management, building cases to secure investment and ensuring optimal use and tracking of resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing or a similar field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in healthcare marketing or biotech/pharmaceutical marketing, with a track record of driving growth in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in digital and performance marketing channels and tools, with an inquisitive mentality for emerging trends.
  • Strong strategy and execution skills, with an analytical approach and solid marketing fundamentals.
  • Sharp analytical capabilities to dissect data and uncover insights for impactful actions.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, including written, verbal, and visual communication.
  • Peer leadership skills, including inspiring and empowering teams without direct authority.
  • Creative attitude focused on possibilities and always putting the patient first.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness.
  • Experience managing external partners such as agencies.
  • Ability to build relationships in a dynamic and culturally diverse workplace.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI and emerging digital technologies.
  • Experience in healthcare or biotech marketing with a focus on patient engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing or a related field.
  • MBA preferred.
