About the Role

The AWS Data Lead is a senior role responsible for leading data engineering initiatives, collaborating on data migration solutions, and ensuring high-quality delivery of data projects. The position involves managing teams in an onshore-offshore model and working with various cloud technologies and tools to process high-volume business-critical data sets. Key Responsibilities

Lead data engineering projects with excellent communication skills, stakeholder management, and project management.
Lead teams in an onshore-offshore model to deliver data solutions.
Collaborate on design, develop, and implement data migration solutions to Databricks for processing high-volume data sets, strictly adhering to schedules.
Review development and testing activities performed by data engineers to ensure data engineering standards.
Utilize Agile / Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software releases through sprints.
Apply experience in migration projects and optimize Spark solutions using Databricks compute options.
Work with cloud technologies such as AWS, S3, EC2, EMR, HIVE, Snowflake, Airflow, and programming languages including SQL, Python, Spark, PySpark, Hive.
Use tools like Git, JIRA, Jenkins for development and deployment.

Requirements

Total experience of 10-15 years in data engineering or related fields.
Experience in leading data engineering teams and projects.
Experience in data migration projects.
Proficiency in Spark optimization techniques and working with Databricks.
Strong knowledge of AWS cloud technologies including S3, EC2, EMR, HIVE, Snowflake, and Airflow.
Programming skills in SQL, Python, Spark, PySpark, Hive.
Experience with tools such as Git, JIRA, Jenkins.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in stakeholder management and project management.
Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies and CI/CD processes.
