About the Role

The Brand Marketing Director, Lifestyle at Saucony drives and leads the development and execution of the brand marketing strategy for Saucony's lifestyle territory. The role involves ensuring consistency and activation across global markets, leading a global go-to-market, and maximizing sales growth, brand awareness, and consumer affinity through integrated marketing programs. The position is focused on creating the best running shoes and apparel, fueled by a passion for runners and the sport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for directing the marketing of the lifestyle category, including developing and implementing brand strategies based on analytics and insights to drive growth.
  • Lead the development of insight-driven, full-funnel integrated consumer marketing programs with internal and external agency partners, from brief to post-launch analysis.
  • Partner with and lead internal and external cross-functional teams to develop and execute programs that meet brand goals.
  • Analyze and optimize marketing plan performance using data to identify key insights for better decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with global teams including product, media, PR, and account teams to ensure plans reach key consumers, meet brand goals, and maintain creative consistency.
  • Manage a team of junior marketers, coaching and developing their marketing skills.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of consumer, category, competition, and trends to identify insights and opportunities for brand growth.
  • Collaborate with the consumer insights team to identify category trends and unmet consumer needs, and develop learning plans from idea to opportunity sizing.
  • Manage the development of seasonal category sell-in and sell-thru materials for global product marketing stories.
  • Oversee calendar, timelines, and budget; determine seasonal cadence and regional marketing share outs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of marketing experience with a deep understanding of brand building.
  • Passion for developing and implementing customer-obsessed, insights-driven integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior and trends; experience in sporting goods, footwear, and lifestyle is a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate and influence across teams.
  • Ability to operate independently with a balance of imagination and execution.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data and communicate findings clearly.
  • Proven ability to translate strategy and vision into actionable marketing plans in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written communication skills and comfort with public speaking.
  • Solid understanding of global markets.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects.
